UKULELE FOR THOSE IN NEED - SUPPORTING MAUI’S RECOVERY
On August 8, 2023 multiple fires were sparked on Maui. Fueled by strong winds and dry air, the fires struck hardest the historic town of Lahaina, leaving the town in ash and ruins. As the Maui community seeks to rebuild, the need for emotional healing is an integral part of that recovery. Ukulele Gift of Hope will help place ukulele back into the hands of families who lost their homes and personal possessions.
Ukulele Festival Hawaii is accomplishing this by providing ukulele to organizations and leadership groups supporting relief and recovery and to programs fascilitating mental health and emotional healing.
With your support, more families and especially our keiki, will be given the gift of an ukulele as a way to heal, recover, and reconnect with the past and hope for the future.
